Description: The BDNF E max<br />
®<br />
ImmunoAssay Systems provide optimized<br />
reagents and a protocol for the sensitive and specific detection of brainderived<br />
neurotrophic factor (BDNF). After an overnight coating of a 96-well<br />
plate, the specific protein is detected using an antibody sandwich format. The<br />
systems use a horseradish peroxidase-conjugated secondary antibody and a<br />
single-component TMB substrate for the final chromogenic detection of bound<br />
neurotrophic factor. Using this system, BDNF in tissue culture supernatants,<br />
tissue homogenates, plasma and urine can be quantitated in the range of<br />
7.8–500pg/ml. Binding and recovery from mouse brain homogenates has not<br />
been fully characterized.<br />
