elsewhere herein.<br />

12.2.8 Asbestos – For work involving existing facilities, structures, or buildings, the Collage has performed<br />

campus wide tests for asbestos. The <strong>College</strong> has performed removal <strong>of</strong> asbestos materials in identified areas and to the<br />

best <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong>’s knowledge there are no such hazardous materials in the existing scope <strong>of</strong> the project. Should the<br />

Contractor encounter materials suspected as asbestos or polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB), the Contractor shall<br />

immediately suspend work in that location and notify the Contracting Officer, The Architect/Engineer, and the<br />

Construction Manager.<br />

12.3 Emergencies<br />

12.3.1 In any emergency affecting the safety <strong>of</strong> persons or property, the Contractor shall act with diligence,<br />

at its discretion, to prevent threatening injury, damage or loss. In such case, he shall immediately notify the Contracting<br />

Officer, through the Construction Manager, <strong>of</strong> the action taken.<br />
