SECTION 01 29 00 – PAYMENT PROCEDURES
1.4 WAIVER OF LIENS
A. The Contractor, for himself, and for all Subcontractors and material men, agrees that no mechanic's lien
or other claim shall be filed or maintained by the Contractor or by any Subcontractor, material man,
laborer or any other person whatsoever for, or on account of any work performed or materials furnished
under this Contract. This agreement shall execute and deliver a separate waiver of Liens in form and
substance satisfactory to the Owner contemporaneously with the execution of the Owner-Contractor
Agreement and before any work is begun at the site.
B. In every subcontract entered into by the Contractor after execution of this Contract or in connection
herewith, the Contractor shall incorporate a provision, similar to the foregoing paragraph, to the effect
that neither the Subcontractor nor any party acting through or under him shall file or maintain any
mechanic's lien or other claim against the Owner in connection with the Work.
1.5 TAXES
A. The Owner is established under the authority of the State of New Jersey and is entitled to exemption
from Federal, State and local taxes, including the New Jersey Sales Tax. No amount attributable to taxes
shall be included in bid prices.
