7.1 Field Offices<br />
ARTICLE 7<br />
TEMPORARY FACILITIES, UTILITIES AND SERVICES<br />
7.1.1 Each Contractor will provide, on Site, and maintain during the <strong>Project</strong> Construction, a suitable<br />
weather-tight insulated Field Office conveniently located for reception and continuous use and shall maintain therein a<br />
complete set <strong>of</strong> Contract Documents including plans, specifications, CPM network diagrams, change orders, logs and<br />
other details and correspondence. The Field Office may be removed upon enclosure <strong>of</strong> a Building at that time directed<br />
by the Construction Manager; contents and operations will be transferred to the interior <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Project</strong> Building by the<br />
General Contractor and said <strong>of</strong>fices shall be maintained by the General Contractor until Final Acceptance <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Project</strong>.<br />
7.1.2 The Contractor shall provide its own telephones, telephone service, and internet service.<br />
7.2 Storage Sheds, Tool Sheds, Shops, Employees Sheds<br />
7.2.1 The Contractor will provide and maintain, for its own use, and as each deems necessary, suitable and<br />
safe temporary storage, tool shops, and employee's sheds, for proper protection, storage work and shelter, respectively;<br />
maintain properly; and remove them at completion <strong>of</strong> Work. Rooms in the building may be used as shops and<br />
storerooms, with the approval <strong>of</strong> the Construction Manager. The Contractor making use <strong>of</strong> these areas shall be<br />
responsible for correcting defects and damage caused by such use and for keeping these areas clear and clean.<br />
7.3 Site Logistics<br />
7.3.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for providing for its own requirements within the contract limit<br />
lines. The Contractor shall locate these areas, to suit project requirements, with the Construction Manager's<br />
concurrence.<br />
7.3.2 All construction / contractor vehicles parked on campus must display a valid parking permit.<br />
7.4 Temporary Toilet Facilities<br />
7.4.1 The Contractor shall provide and pay for suitable temporary toilets, at an approved location on the<br />
site, prior to the start <strong>of</strong> any field work. They shall comply with State and Local laws. The Contractor will be<br />
responsible for maintenance, removal and relocation as described hereinafter.<br />
7.4.2 Remove units from Site at completion <strong>of</strong> Work, when so directed.<br />
7.4.3 Workmen are not to use the finished bathroom and toilet facilities in the project buildings (reasonable<br />
steps must be taken by the Contractor to enforce this rule).<br />
7.4.4 Toilet facilities within campus buildings are strictly <strong>of</strong>f limits. Any worker observed violating this<br />
article shall be warned once, and removed from site after the next violation.<br />
7.5 Temporary Drives and Walks<br />
7.5.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for keeping all roadways, drives and parking areas within or<br />
proximate to the site free and clear <strong>of</strong> debris, gravel, mud, or any other site materials by insuring that all measures<br />
reasonably necessary are taken to prevent such materials from being deposited on such surfaces including, as may be<br />
appropriate, the cleaning <strong>of</strong> vehicle wheels, etc. prior to their leaving the construction site. Should such surface require<br />
cleaning, the Contractor will clean these surfaces without additional cost to the <strong>College</strong>. The Contractor will be held<br />
accountable for any citations, fines, or penalties imposed on the <strong>College</strong> for failing to comply with local rules and<br />
regulations.<br />
