"Netiquette"<br />
New social dynamics develop when we use electronic messaging. Keeping a few simple rules<br />
<strong>of</strong> thumb in mind will make this communication medium enjoyable and useful for everyone.<br />
• Remember that the most effective e-mail messages are short, clear and to the point.<br />
• Allow the person to whom you are sending an e-mail message at least 48 hours to<br />
respond. If you do not receive a reply, check to see if the person received your message.<br />
• Do not send lengthy attachments and expect the receiver to print them. It is easier for the<br />
recipient if you provide a printed copy <strong>of</strong> your document.<br />
• Acknowledge by return message that you have received an e-mail message.<br />
