Transfer <strong>of</strong> Credits (M.S.N. only)<br />
With the approval <strong>of</strong> your faculty advisor, the assistant dean for advanced practice nursing,<br />
and the dean <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Graduate</strong> School, a maximum <strong>of</strong> 9 semester hours <strong>of</strong> graduate course<br />
credits may be transferred from another institution toward the requirements for the master's<br />
degree (see <strong>Graduate</strong> School Bulletin). The request for transfer is to be made prior to advanced<br />
registration in your first semester <strong>of</strong> enrollment.<br />
You must initiate the request for transfer <strong>of</strong> credit through your advisor. To transfer credits,<br />
you must submit a course syllabus and <strong>of</strong>ficial transcript to your faculty advisor. If your<br />
faculty advisor judges the transfer <strong>of</strong> credits to be appropriate to the planned program <strong>of</strong> study,<br />
the faculty advisor requests in writing that the assistant dean approve the transfer <strong>of</strong> credits. If<br />
approved, the assistant dean submits the request and copy <strong>of</strong> the <strong>of</strong>ficial transcript to the dean<br />
<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Graduate</strong> School. The transferal <strong>of</strong> credits should be included in your program <strong>of</strong> study<br />
plan approved by your faculty advisor.<br />
