Academic Probation
College Nursing graduate students are required to maintain at least a 3.0 graduate grade point
average. If a student's cumulative graduate GPA drops below a 3.0, the student will be placed
on academic probation. A student on academic probation will have 9 credit hours to raise the
GPA to a 3.0 or better. If the GPA is still below a 3.0, the student will be dismissed from the
program. Further details about this policy, including procedures for readmission, may be found
in the University of Kentucky Graduate School Bulletin.
The same policies apply to D.N.P. students. Exceptions related to D.N.P. students are made by
the dean of the College of Nursing.
