Office <strong>of</strong> <strong>Student</strong> Services<br />
The Office <strong>of</strong> <strong>Student</strong> Services maintains student records and acts as a central resource to<br />
assist students with questions regarding student life at the <strong>University</strong>. The <strong>of</strong>fice is responsible<br />
for student registration, College <strong>of</strong> Nursing commencement programs, applications for<br />
placement records, guidance to the student advisory councils, and the <strong>Kentucky</strong> Association <strong>of</strong><br />
Nursing students, programs for special students, and supplying students with current literature<br />
and announcements that may be <strong>of</strong> interest within the College. The <strong>of</strong>fice actively<br />
communicates with other student personnel <strong>of</strong>fices on campus to keep nursing students,<br />
faculty, and staff up to date on <strong>University</strong> activities and programs. Office hours are 8 a.m. -<br />
4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The phone number is<br />
(859) 323-5108 and the <strong>of</strong>fice is located in room 309.<br />
A student affairs <strong>of</strong>ficer is available to work with you on-site in Lexington and Morehead. A<br />
copy <strong>of</strong> your records will be kept in the Lexington <strong>of</strong>fice, beginning with your application<br />
process. If you have any questions concerning your records, contact any member <strong>of</strong> our<br />
<strong>Student</strong> Services staff at<br />
(859) 323-5108.<br />
After you graduate, we will maintain your records in this <strong>of</strong>fice. However, when you need<br />
<strong>of</strong>ficial transcripts and documents, you should call the <strong>University</strong> Registrar's <strong>of</strong>fice. Our files<br />
are not the <strong>of</strong>ficial <strong>University</strong> records.<br />
Often the record keeping function causes confusion for graduate students because two different<br />
<strong>of</strong>fices are involved. The <strong>Graduate</strong> School is your <strong>of</strong>ficial college, even though you are<br />
pursuing a degree in nursing. It will help you to remember that you begin your procedures in<br />
the College <strong>of</strong> Nursing, but your completion will occur in the <strong>Graduate</strong> School.<br />
