ZXV10 T700 User Guide 8.1.5 Setting Short Message Context • In P2P conference, the terminals can send messages to each other. • In multi-terminal conference, ZXV10 T700 can send messages to one or all terminals. Steps 1. In the main interface, select Management > Services > Caption > Message to open the configuration page shown in the figure below. Figure 8-5 The Short Message Configuration Page 2. Set the parameters according to the descriptions of the table below. If the terminal is currently in a conference, all of the terminals in the conference are listed here. If the terminal is not in a conference, it displays No terminal to send. BG Color stands for the background color. There are 10 color options available: black, white, gray, red, orange, yellow, green, cyan and purple. There are three font options available: small, middle and large. F Color stands for the foreground color. Chapter 8 Services 8.2 Calling for Conference Prerequisites • The terminals in the address book can join a meeting only after they are configured with extension numbers, which are the numbers registered on GK. • Contact the ZXMS80 system administrator and check whether a proper conference template named with a rate is available in the system. Context The meeting function means that a terminal initiates a conference and makes a conference request to the MCU. The request contains terminal names, conference rate, conference password, conference special number, number of pictures, and duration. The specified MCU checks whether it can satisfy the request based on the board configuration and template configuration in the ZXMS80 system. If yes, the MCU will call the terminals for conference. The conference templates need to be configured on the conference administrator operation interface. The template of calling for a conference is different from that of a normal conference. In the template of calling for a conference, the conference name and terminal prefix are restricted. The following describes how to call for a conference by using the remote control. Alternatively, you can log in to the Web page and call for a conference by choosing Call Control > Call Meeting. Steps 1. Choose Management > Services > Convene a conference. The Convene a conference interface is displayed. 2. Click Address book to display the interface for selecting terminals. All the terminals that are registered in the GK are displayed on the interface. 3. Select a terminal (after it is selected, the check box next to its name is selected), and the click OK. The selected terminal is displayed in the Meeting list box. 4. Refer to the following table to configure the parameters , such as conference rate, number of pictures, service number, password, and duration. It is recommended to use the default value. It must be consistent with the conference rate configured on the MCU. Up to 2 pictures can be provided by this version.
