<strong>Update</strong>s via Instant Pilot (G4208A) 4<br />

<strong>Update</strong> Information for A.05.1x <strong>Firmware</strong><br />

NOTE<br />

After the update/activation of the resident firmware<br />

• the Instant Pilot update screen shows an error (timeout) and/or<br />

• a screen may show up for some seconds showing "Waiting for module". Ignore this message.<br />

• the module's LED is blinking (resident mode)<br />

• this module disappears from the system (no communication with A.06.xx)<br />

4 Press 'Abort' and re-enter the firmware update screen.<br />

5 Select the next LC module.<br />

6 Repeat steps 3) to 5) until all LC modules are done.<br />

7 <strong>Update</strong> the Instant Pilot to A.05.1x (has only main firmware).<br />

8 Press Exit and restart the Instant Pilot.<br />

After re-boot, the Instant Pilot shows all resident LC modules.<br />

9 Enter the firmware update screen (More - Maintenance).<br />

10 Select the first resident LC module (not the Controller!).<br />

11 Press Single and start the main firmware update of this module.<br />

12 When finshed press Exit and No to prevent a re-boot.<br />

13 Select the next resident LC module and repeat steps 11) to 12) until all LC<br />

modules are done.<br />

After the update a screen may show up for some seconds showing "Waiting<br />

for module". Ignore this message. It will be closed after some seconds.<br />

14 Press Exit and restart the Instant Pilot.<br />

Upgrade to Revision from A.05.xx to B.02.xx<br />

When the Instant Pilot needs to be upgraded to a B.01.xx firmware to be<br />

compatible with <strong>Agilent</strong> 1100/1200 series modules working on<br />

A.06.xx/B.01.xx, follow the procedue below.<br />

1 Enter the firmware update screen (More - Maintenance).<br />

2 Select the first LC module (not the Controller!).<br />

3 Press Single and start the resident firmware update of this module.<br />
