1 Introduction Procedures Procedures Firmware updates can be done using teh following interfaces: • “Updates via LAN/RS-232 Firmware Update Tool” on page 27 with files from CD-ROM/hard disk/USB Flash Drive. • “Updates via Instant Pilot (G4208A)” on page 95 with files from USB Flash Drive. • Updates via LabAdvisor / Instrument Utilies Software with files from CD-ROM/hard disk/USB Flash Drive • “Updates via GPIB Firmware Update Tool” on page 133 with Agilent ChemStation setup and files from CD-ROM/hard disk (16-bit ChemStation only) • “Updates via Control Module (G1323A/B)” on page 113 with files from a PC-card. Introduction 1 Procedures Update of firmware for MS hardware After upgrading ChemStation software (e.g. to revision A10.01) the software complains that the MS firmware needs a newer version. In this case open your \HPCHEM\MS\firmware\ folder and execute the MSUPDATE.EXE. This will open a telnet session and start the update of the MS.
