This program should be used for
• GPIB updates only
NOTE
This GPIB Firmware Update Tool is not compatible with Agilent 32-bit ChemStation B.xx.
If you have to upgrade old GPIB system use these alternatives:
• Do the upgrade of the firmware while a 16-bit ChemStation (A.10 or below) is installed
(especially for G1600 CE instruments).
• Use the LAN/RS-232 Firmware Update Tool 2.7 for upgrading 1100 modules via RS-232 or
LAN (requires a LAN interface in one of the modules of a system) as described in
“Updates via LAN/RS-232 Firmware Update Tool” on page 27.
NOTE
If you own a system with LAN or RS-232 communication, you should use “Updates via
LAN/RS-232 Firmware Update Tool” on page 27.
If you want to upgrade the firmware of modules to revision A.06.xx refer to “Firmware
Update to A.06.xx” on page 140 prior to start the process.
The screens in this note may vary from your screens due to other firmware revision.
The GPIB communication is no longer supported with Agilent ChemStation revision B.01.01
and above.
Prerequisites
• GPIB Firmware Update Tool from the Agilent web
• proper working ChemStation communication with the 1100
system/modules
• HPLC module specific firmware (main and resident) from the Agilent web
