Changing the Serial Number of Control Module
To change the serial number of an Control Module, for example when it shows
serial number DE00000000 or CN00000000, proceed as follows:
NOTE
For entering CN serial numbers you need the UPDATE.EXE version dated March 16, 2001
(version 3.19) added March 28, 2001 from the download servers. For details “Changing the
Serial Number of Control Module” on page 124.
1 Copy files LCB322EN.BIN, CONFIG.SYS, UPDATE.EXE to a PC-card.
2 Insert the PC-card and re-boot. The display will show an update screen.

1) program Control Module
2) disable update at boot-up
3) change serial number
4) change display contrast
6) display load address
9) program 2nd rom
0) exit
select function: _
3 Select (3) to change the serial number (preparation).
4 Select (1) to start the programming.
5 Select (n) LCB322EN.BIN (or newer, if available).
