4 <strong>Update</strong>s via Instant Pilot (G4208A)<br />

<strong>Update</strong> Information for A.05.1x <strong>Firmware</strong><br />

NOTE<br />

After the update/activation of the resident firmware<br />

• the Instant Pilot update screen shows list with the module(s) where<br />

• the update was interrupted or a timeout error<br />

• the module's LED is blinking (resident mode)<br />

• this module disappears from the system (no communication with A.05.xx)<br />

4 Press Abort.<br />

5 Enter the firmware update screen (More - Maintenance).<br />

6 Select the next LC module.<br />

7 Repeat steps 3) to 4) until all LC modules are done.<br />

8 <strong>Update</strong> the Instant Pilot to B.02.xx (main and resident firmware).<br />

9 Press Exit and restart the Instant Pilot.<br />

After re-boot, the Instant Pilot shows all resident LC modules.<br />

NOTE<br />

If the modules are not shown (continuoes “Scanning ...“), disconnect the Instant Pilot and<br />

reconnect.<br />

10 Enter the firmware update screen (More - Maintenance).<br />

11 Select the first LC module (not the Controller!).<br />

12 Press Single and start the main firmware update of this module.<br />

After the update a screen may show up for some seconds showing all LC<br />

modules where the update has been interrupted. Ignore this message. It will<br />

be closed after some seconds.<br />

13 When finshed press Exit and No to prevent a re-boot.<br />

14 Enter the firmware update screen (More - Maintenance).<br />

15 Select the next resident LC module and repeat steps 12) to 13) until all LC<br />

modules are done.<br />

After the update a screen may show up for some seconds showing all LC<br />

modules where the update has been interrupted. Ignore this message. It will<br />

be closed after some seconds.<br />

16 Press Exit and restart the Instant Pilot.<br />
