Important<br />
The LAN/RS-232 <strong>Firmware</strong> <strong>Update</strong> Tool 2.7 replaces<br />
• the previously used LAN/RS-232 <strong>Firmware</strong> <strong>Update</strong> Tool (version below<br />
actual) for LAN and RS-232 updates<br />
• the previously used <strong>Firmware</strong> <strong>Update</strong> Utility (version 4.00) for LAN<br />
updates.<br />
WARNING<br />
Do not use any older versions of <strong>Firmware</strong> <strong>Update</strong> Tool for upgrade of systems with<br />
mixed firmware revisions (5.1x and below with 6.0x and above). In some<br />
combinations, especially systems with CAN slaves (CAN-valves, UIB or automation<br />
interface) included, the order of the upgrade is important. Otherwise modules<br />
become invisible.<br />
NOTE<br />
If you own a system with GPIB communication, use either the “<strong>Firmware</strong> <strong>Update</strong> via<br />
RS-232” on page 31 (preferred) or “<strong>Update</strong>s via GPIB <strong>Firmware</strong> <strong>Update</strong> Tool” on page 133.<br />
NOTE<br />
If you want to upgrade the firmware of modules to revision A.06.xx refer to “<strong>Firmware</strong><br />
<strong>Update</strong> to A.06.xx” on page 63 prior to start the process.<br />
