figure 4, the Egyptian hierogram = Greek alpha <strong>and</strong><br />

omega. The T, which frequently appears in these<br />

plates, signifies light. The double tan, a very ancient<br />

symbol <strong>of</strong> the sacred sanctuary <strong>of</strong> light <strong>and</strong> beauty,<br />

resembles H. Two I's, with a cross between, as 9b,<br />

conveys the same idea as at fig. 10. A cross in a<br />

sphere is the Druidical silver wheel, Arianrod — emblem<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Bi-une God, the alpha <strong>and</strong> omega <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Revelations. Chiefly from the collection, British Museum,<br />

318c, vol. vii. No. 11 is five inches long. Circa<br />

1400.<br />
