2006 (Denver 10/10): Started all 10 games played<br />
before he was placed on injured reserve on<br />
Nov. 21 with a left knee injury…contributed 36<br />
tackles (28 solo), one interception, five passes<br />
defensed and a forced fumble along with<br />
two special-teams stops…amassed five solo<br />
tackles and a forced fumble in the home opener<br />
vs. Kansas City (9/17)…made three solo tackles<br />
and intercepted a pass on Sunday Night Football<br />
vs. S.D. (11/19)…suffered a left knee injury on<br />
the interception vs. San Diego that forced him to<br />
be placed on injured reserve two days later.<br />
2005 (Denver 16/16): Started all 16 regularseason<br />
games and both playoff contests for<br />
Denver in his second season as a starter on<br />
defense….placed third on the Broncos and<br />
led the club’s defensive backs during the<br />

placing second on the team with a careerhigh<br />

registered three tackles (one solo) and<br />
three passes defensed, including his second<br />
interception of the season of QB Kerry Collins<br />
vs. Oakland (12/24)…contributed five tackles<br />
(four solo) in an AFC Divisional Playoff game<br />
vs. New England (1/14/06)…made nine tackles<br />
(five solo), forced a fumble and broke up a pass<br />
in the AFC Championship Game vs. Pittsburgh<br />

2004 (Denver 16/1): Played in all 16 regularseason<br />
games, one start…recorded 16 tackles<br />
(15 solo) and a pass breakup on defense…led<br />
the team with 19 tackles on special teams…<br />
recorded his first start of the year and posted 11<br />
tackles (10 solo) on defense vs. <strong>Houston</strong> (11/7)…<br />
in an AFC Wild Card Game at Indianapolis<br />
(1/9/05), he played on special teams only and<br />
made a tackle.<br />
2003 (Denver 15/10): Saw action in 15 regularseason<br />
games (10 starts) and ranked fourth on<br />
the Broncos with 72 tackles (58 solo)…also<br />
added one sack for 13 yards, three pass breakups<br />
and two forced fumbles…tied for fourth on the<br />
team with 12 special-teams tackles…placed on<br />
injured reserve (12/23)…registered a careerhigh<br />
12 tackles (10 solo), a pass breakup and a<br />
forced fumble vs. Pittsburgh (10/12)…recorded<br />
10 tackles (six solo) and a special-teams stop<br />
at Baltimore (10/26)…registered his fifth start<br />
of the season but his first at free safety and<br />
made five solo tackles, including his first career<br />
sack for a 13-yard loss on QB Doug Flutie vs.<br />
San Diego (11/16)…tied a career-high with 12<br />
tackles (9 solo) at Oakland (11/30).<br />
2002 (New York Jets 16/0): Saw action in all 16<br />
regular-season games…recorded 23 tackles<br />
and a fumble recovery on special teams while<br />
adding 11 tackles as a backup defensive back…<br />
saw time on special teams only in both of the<br />
Jets’ playoff contests (vs. Indianapolis 1/4/03<br />
and at Oakland 1/12/03) and recorded a specialteams<br />
tackle vs. the Colts…recovered a fumble<br />
on a punt return and added two special-teams<br />
tackles at New England (12/22).<br />
2001 (New York Jets 16/1): Started one game<br />
and appeared in all 16…finished with 26 specialteams<br />
tackles…recorded 21 tackles (12 solo)<br />
and a forced fumble on defense...in the first start<br />
of his NFL career vs. Buffalo (12/30), he started<br />
at free safety and posted 16 tackles (nine solo),<br />
one pass breakup and a forced fumble.<br />
2000 (New York Jets 7/0): Played in seven games<br />
after he was acquired from Buffalo’s practice<br />
squad…appeared in the Jets’ final seven games<br />
of the season as a reserve defensive back and<br />
special teams player…finished the year with<br />
nine tackles (five solo), three passes defensed,<br />
one interception for 20 yards and three specialteams<br />
tackles…totaled six tackles and three<br />
special-teams tackles in the final three games<br />
of the season.<br />
COLLEGE: Led Georgia Tech’s secondary with<br />
67 tackles as a senior while finishing second<br />
on the team with seven passes defensed…<br />
former walk-on for the Yellow Jackets in 1993,<br />
Ferguson began his Georgia Tech career as<br />
a scout player after transferring from Morris<br />
Brown College in Atlanta.<br />
PERSONAL: Attended Jackson High School in<br />
Miami and was named the team’s most valuable<br />
player as a senior…served as a coaching<br />
intern for NFL Europe’s Amsterdam Admirals in<br />
their 2003 training camp in Tampa, Fla…grew<br />
up as the third of 11 children (seven girls and<br />
