WR at Detroit (10/15)…caught one pass for five<br />
yards vs. Jacksonville (11/26)…had three kickoff<br />
returns for 69 yards at New York Jets (12/10)…<br />
caught one pass for eight yards in the season<br />
finale at Baltimore(12/31).<br />
2005 (New England 9/4): Started four games at<br />
wide receiver and recorded nine receptions<br />
for 190 yards and a touchdown…started at WR<br />
vs. New Orleans (11/20) and caught a 60-yard<br />
touchdown pass…started at WR and led the team<br />
with 47 receiving yards on two receptions vs.<br />
Miami (1/1/06) and also kick-started the Patriots’<br />
first touchdown drive with a 65-yard kickoff return<br />
in the first quarter…caught one pass for three<br />
yards and ran for 13 yards on a reverse in AFC<br />
Wild Card victory over Jacksonville (1/7/06)…<br />
caught one pass for 51 yards and returned three<br />
kickoffs for 61 yards in AFC Divisional Playoff at<br />
Denver (1/14/06).<br />
2004 (Cleveland 7/7): Started seven games and<br />
totaled 16 receptions for 416 yards and two<br />
touchdowns…tied the NFL record with a 99-<br />
yard touchdown reception from Jeff Garcia vs.<br />
Cincinnati (10/17)…recorded his second career<br />
100-yard receiving game with five receptions<br />
for 101 yards and a touchdown at Pittsburgh<br />
(10/10)…inactive for four games…placed on<br />
injured reserve (12/2) with a toe injury.<br />
2003 (Cleveland 16/8): Appeared in all 16 games,<br />
including eight starts, and led the Browns<br />
with five touchdowns on 40 receptions for 576<br />
yards…led the Browns with 38 kickoff returns<br />
for 803 yards, including a long of 69 yards…had<br />
a season-high two touchdown receptions at San<br />
Francisco (9/21), with both touchdowns coming<br />
in the fourth quarter, including the game-winning<br />
score with 29 seconds remaining…recorded<br />
his first career 100-yard receiving performance<br />
vs. Arizona (11/16) with a career-high seven<br />
receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown…led<br />
the team in receptions with five in the regular<br />
season finale at Cincinnati (12/28).<br />
2002 (Cleveland 16/4): Made a major impact<br />
for the Browns during his rookie season as he<br />
ranked tied for third among NFL rookies with<br />
seven touchdowns…totaled 37 receptions for<br />
420 yards and six touchdowns…six touchdown<br />
receptions ranked second on the club and his<br />
37 receptions and 420 receiving yards ranked<br />
fifth…had a season-high five receptions for<br />
99 yards and two touchdowns at Tennessee<br />
(9/22)…recorded three receptions for 14 yards<br />
and one touchdown reception in his NFL debut<br />
vs. Kansas City (9/8) and added two kickoff<br />
returns for 40 yards…made his first career start<br />
at Tennessee (9/22) and had a season-high five<br />
receptions for 99 yards and two touchdowns<br />
and also contributed four kickoff returns for 81<br />
yards…started vs. <strong>Houston</strong> (10/20) and scored<br />
on a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and<br />
totaled four kickoff returns for 168 yards on the<br />
afternoon…named AFC Special Teams Player of<br />
the Week for his efforts against the <strong>Texans</strong> and<br />
also had one reception for three yards…had two<br />
receptions for 65 yards, including a long of 43<br />
yards and one touchdown reception for 22 yards,<br />
and added three kickoff returns for 48 yards in the<br />
AFC Wild Card Game at Pittsburgh (1/5/03).<br />
COLLEGE: Three-year starter at Virginia Tech as<br />
a wide receiver and also excelled on the school’s<br />
track team, serving as the anchor on the 4x100-<br />
meter relay squad in addition to performing in<br />
the 200-meter dash…the three-time Academic<br />
All-Big East Conference choice ranks third on<br />
the school’s career-record list with 1,986 yards<br />
receiving and 103 catches…his 18 career<br />
touchdown catches rank second on the school’s<br />
all-time list, second to Antonio Freeman’s 22<br />
(1991- 94)…his senior year in 2001, named All-<br />
Big East Conference first team selection…led<br />
the team with 39 receptions for 623 yards (16.0<br />
avg.) and seven touchdowns…graduated with a<br />
