200th career tackle in the game and recorded his

when he downing QB Kerry Collins early in the
first quarter, stripped Collins and recovered the
fumble for a 26-yard touchdown 11 total tackles
(nine solo) and two fumble recoveries…became
first player in Texans history to recovery two
fumbles in a game…had a team-leading eight
total tackles (seven solo) at San Diego (10/28)…
recorded his second career interception when he
picked off QB Josh McCown at Oakland (11/4) in
the fourth quarter finished with six total tackles,
four solo…had a team-high 10 tackles (six solo)
vs. New Orleans (11/18)…made 11 tackles (nine
solo) at Cleveland (11/25)…recorded a seasonhigh
14 total tackles and a season-high 11 solo
stops…completed a span that he registered three
straight games of double-digit tackles…made six
total stops (three solo) against Tampa Bay (12/9)...
injured his right knee in the game…on a short
week’s rest recorded six tackles (three solo) and
his seventh pass defensed on the season against
Denver (12/13)…finished with a season-low two
solo tackles at Indianapolis (12/23)…made five
total stops (two solo) and one pass defensed in
the season finale vs. Jacksonville (12/30).
2006 (Houston 16/16): Had an impressive
rookie season with 16 straight starts…made
an immediate impact in his first NFL game,
registering 13 tackles and leading all tacklers
vs. Philadelphia (9/10)…was the second leading
tackler with 10 total tackles, one assisted against
Washington (9/24)…led all Texans tacklers with
eight total, one assisted…had a half sack for 3.5
yards and a quarterback hurry against Miami
(10/1)…finished with nine tackles, six solo…
registered his first solo sack of his career at
Dallas (10/15)…led all tacklers with 10 total,
eight solo…registered his second-career sack
at New York Giants (11/5)…registered 14 total
tackles, including 13 solo tackles at New York
Jets (11/26)…had his best as a rookie against
the Raiders as he led all tacklers in the game
with 15 total tackles, 14 solo…had one sack for
eight yards, an interception for 16 yards, three
passes defensed, one fumble recovery and one
forced fumble at Oakland (12/3)…it was the first
time in Texans history that a defensive player has
registered a sack, interception, fumble recovery
and forced fumble in one game…named the AFC
Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts…
again led the all tacklers in the game, this time
with 14 tackles, eight solo against Tennessee
(12/10)…totaled 10 total tackles, his fourth
consecutive 10 plus tackle game at New England
(12/17)…finished with double-digit tackles for
the ninth game of his rookie season, with 10 total
stops, seven solo against Cleveland (12/31).

PERSONAL: Native of Bessemer, Ala.…majored
in business at Alabama…had over 135 tackles, 11
sacks, two caused fumbles and two interceptions
his senior season at Jess Lanier High School
(Ala.)…super all-state and academic all-state
selection…named to The Tuscaloosa News
