Home Field Advantage
In 2007, the Texans set a franchise record with six wins at home.
In the friendly confines of Reliant Stadium, Houston was able to
outscore its opponents by a margin of 226-155. The 226 points
scored at home were a franchise record, breaking the previous
record of 170 in 2004. Houston posted a franchise-best 6-2 record at
Reliant Stadium this season, marking the team’s first-ever winning
record at home. The previous best mark was 4-4 in 2006.
Texans head coach Gary Kubiak is 10-6 at home in his two seasons
in Houston. Prior to Kubiak’s arrival, the Texans won a total of nine
home games in four seasons. The only two games the Texans lost at
home were by a combined margin of eight points.
