Brown’s Career Day
K Kris Brown had the best day of his career in Houston’s 22-19 win over
Miami (10/7). Brown set or tied three team records and tied an NFL
record in the game.
He set a team record with his 54-yard field goal in the second quarter,
matched it with another 54-yarder in the third period and then set a new
record with his 57-yard game-winner in the fourth.
Brown became the third player in NFL history to make three field goals
of 50 or more yards in a game, and he is the only player to make three
from 54 or longer. He joined Morten Andersen, who hit from 51, 55 and
55 as an Atlanta Falcon vs. New Orleans on 12/10/95 and Arizona K
Neil Rackers, who made two 55-yarders and a 50-yarder vs. Seattle on
10/24/04.
