later…finished second on the team with 255<br />

yards rushing on 77 carries (3.3 avg.) and also<br />

over 10,000 all-purpose yards as a professional,<br />

including his kickoff returns during the 1998-<br />

99 seasons with Seattle…had a career-high<br />

33 carries for 119 yards (3.6 avg.) and two TDs<br />

in the season-opening Monday night game at<br />

Carolina (9/13)…also started NFC Wild Card<br />

2003 (Green Bay 16/16): Started all 16 regular…<br />

tied for the seventh-best rushing season in NFL<br />

history with 1,883 yards and was second only<br />

to Baltimore’s Jamal Lewis (2,066 yards) for the<br />

league rushing title…twice broke the Packers’<br />

single-game rushing record over the course of<br />

the season…first set the mark with 192 yards<br />

on Monday night against Philadelphia (11/10),<br />

surpassing the prior club record of 190 set by<br />

Dorsey Levens in 1997…later, in the regular<br />

season finale with Denver (12/28), became the<br />

first Green Bay player to rush for 200-or-more<br />

yards in a game with a 218-yard effort (adding<br />

a nine-yard reception, his 227 yards from<br />

scrimmage were a club single-game record by a<br />

RB)…set a team record with an NFC-best 2,250<br />

yards from scrimmage, surpassing his own 2001<br />

mark of 1,981 and becoming first Packer to top<br />

2,000 in a single season…second-team All-Pro<br />

selection by Football Digest and was named<br />

to the All-NFC team of Pro Football Weekly…a<br />

three-time selection as NFC Offensive Player<br />

of the Week, earning the honor for showings<br />

at Chicago (9/29) and against San Francisco<br />

(11/23) and Denver (12/28)…won the inaugural<br />

FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Year award…<br />

ripped off a 65-yard touchdown on the second<br />

286 carries despite missing two full games and<br />

sitting out the second half of two other contests<br />

due to injury…also added 393 yards and two<br />

TDs on 57 receptions…started 14 regularseason<br />

games and was inactive for the other<br />

two contests…had a career-high three rushing<br />

touchdowns in win over Washington (10/20)…<br />

averaged a season-best 6.5 yards per carry (12<br />

attempts for 78 yards) versus Chicago (12/1)…<br />

started and rushed 11 times for 34 yards in NFC<br />

Wild Card playoff game vs. Atlanta (1/4/03).<br />

2001 (Green Bay 16/16): Started in all 16 games for<br />

the first time in four professional campaigns…<br />

also started both playoff contests…finished<br />

second in the NFC in rushing yards, with 1,387,<br />

and total yards from scrimmage, 1,981…also<br />

led the Packers in receiving for the second<br />

straight year with 62 catches for 594 yards and<br />

two TDs…earned selection to his first-ever Pro<br />

Bowl and was a second-team All-Pro selection<br />

of the Associated Press and Football Digest…<br />
