college: Registered 71 knockdown blocks in<br />

his three seasons as an offensive tackles…also<br />

recorded six tackles and blocked three kicks<br />

on special teams…On offense, he caught three<br />

passes for 64 yards (21.3 avg) and one touchdown,<br />

adding 3 yards on a rushing attempt.<br />

2007: Earned second-team All-Atlantic Coast<br />

Conference recognition for the second-straight<br />

season and was a two-time state Offensive<br />

Lineman/End of the Year pick by the Richmond<br />

Touchdown Club…shifted to left offensive tackle,<br />

starting all fourteen games…graded 79 percent<br />

for blocking consistency, as he delivered<br />

34 knockdowns/key blocks for an offense that<br />

averaged 330.5 yards per game.<br />

2006: All-ACC second-team choice…voted<br />

state Offensive Lineman/End of the Year by the<br />

Richmond Touchdown Club...started all year<br />

at right offensive tackle, registering 22 knockdown<br />

blocks for an offense that averaged 295.2<br />

yards per game…Allowed four of the 29 sacks<br />

for losses of 219 yards that was given up by the<br />

front wall…participated in a total of 806 snaps,<br />

as he also recorded two tackles and blocked<br />

a field goal….received the team’s President’s<br />

Award as the most outstanding leader on offense<br />

during the off season and spring.<br />

2005: Was second on the depth chart at tight<br />

end during August camp, but prior to the season<br />

opener, he moved to right offensive tackle,<br />

starting every game…registered fifteen knockdown<br />

blocks while appearing in 678 offensive<br />

plays, seeing 148 additional snaps on special<br />

teams.<br />

2004: Reserve tight end, seeing action in fourteen<br />

games…caught three passes for 64<br />

yards (21.3 avg) and a touchdown…appeared<br />

in 157 offensive snaps and 150 more on special<br />

teams…caught his first collegiate pass vs.<br />

Western Michigan, a 33-yarder from Sean Glennon<br />

that went for a touchdown...had a 26-yard<br />

reception in the win over Florida A&M.<br />

PERSONAL: Attended Hermitage (Richmond,<br />

Va.) High School…lettered twice as a tight end<br />

and defensive end…played in the Panthers’ first<br />

three games his senior year before suffering a<br />

broken leg, but returned for the Central Region<br />

semifinal game, catching seven passes for just<br />

under 100 yards in his limited playing time…also<br />

recorded 15 tackles, along with a pair of sacks<br />

to earn second-team All-District honors…as<br />

a junior, Brown registered 10 catches for 115<br />

yards and two scores, while contributing six<br />

sacks on defense…lettered in basketball…finished<br />

fourth in the Group AAA outdoor shot put<br />

competition….Apparel, Housing and Resource<br />

Management major, with a minor in Consumer<br />

Studies.<br />
