Speed is fine, as long as it is clear. The only real communication problem I have is poor
behavior. I expect you to be nice to each other, and I will not argue with you about any
decision I make.
Relative importance of on-case argumentation to the critic in decision-making:
A good debater is going to cover on and off case. As I said above, I will go with your
flow.
Openness to critical/performative styles of debating:
If you run a K, you better represent the ideals of that K. I like critical arguments and
rounds, I have no problems with project debate, but I do expect you to live up to your
own standards when presenting these positions.

40 years in debate starting with NDT moving to CEDA and then to Parli Have judged
final rounds in NDT CEDA and NPDA

stock-issues, policymaker, tabula rasa, etc.):
I am a critic of argument ala Balthrup article JAFA I listen to all arguments but have
minimum standards for real/good arguments. Claims must have warrants. There must be
real links for disadvantages, critique. I am not a particular fan of performance.

You need to be organized Cleverness repartee count in your favor. You must not speak so
rapidly you are not clear.
