Speed is fine, as long as it is clear. The only real communication problem I have is poor behavior. I expect you to be nice to each other, and I will not argue with you about any decision I make. I like straight up substantive on case argumentation. Openness to critical/performative styles of debating: Not a fan. Any additional comments: Gov must establish a decent prima facie case. Opp must attack this case trying to win topicality significance solvency or disadvantages or claiming a better counterplan Claims should be supported with facts, analysis, statistics, some forms of proof. CLASH in debate is good. In rebuttals I want to see voting issues claimed and weighted versus the opposition. Showing knowledgeability about the resolution is viewed very favorably. The upper left section of the flow (definions, burdens, etc.) is very important to me. Too many debaters simply say "net benefits" without explaining what that means. I like specific and unique burdens/criteria.
