IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES CONTINUOUS PD REMAINS AN IMPORTANT MODALITY OF RENAL<br />
REPLACEMENT THERAPY BECAUSE OF ITS LOWER COSTS AND EASE OF ADMINISTRATION. IN<br />
THE RECENT LITERATURE PD HAS BEEN SHOWN TO BEEN EFFECTIVE IN HYPERCATOBOLIC<br />
STATE ALSO. IT HAS SEVERAL ADVANTAGES SUCH AS RELATIVE SAFETY IN PATIENTS WITH<br />
HEMODYNAMIC DISTURBANCE , THROMBOCYTOPENIA AND BLEEDING TENDENCY .THIS<br />
REQUIRES MINIMAL TRAINED STAFF AND LITTLE INFRASTRUCTURE. EQUAL OUTCOMES HAVE<br />
BEEN DESCRIBED WHEN PD IS COMPARED WITH IHD AND CVVHDF.<br />
