represent catholic finances, and the latter represents more specifically Jesuit<br />

Finance. Its president, OLIVIER MOREAU-NEYRET, was nominated<br />

General Secretary <strong>of</strong> the National Economy, in 1938, and maintained his<br />

position in the Vichy government, in July <strong>of</strong> 1940. He resigned in 1941,<br />

after the affair <strong>of</strong> the Synarchy was made public. Add to this the fact that, as<br />

<strong>of</strong> July 1940, the CREDIT LYONNAIS, was authorized by the Reichstag to<br />

operate in Germany for the necessary credit operations <strong>of</strong> the French<br />

"On May 12, 1940, a month before the German troops invaded Paris,<br />

the Minister <strong>of</strong> Finance, LAMOUREUX, signed three extraordinary decrees,<br />

ordering the repatriation to France <strong>of</strong> all foreign values belonging to French<br />

citizens. This was the equivalent <strong>of</strong> giving Germany the real-estate fortune<br />

<strong>of</strong> the country."<br />

HUSSON then ends this section <strong>of</strong> his report by indicating how the<br />

synarchists held a series <strong>of</strong> meetings with the Germans, from 1927 until<br />

1940. His information is poor, but the most significant meetings, for<br />

identification purposes were: MARSHAL PETAIN in 1927, GENERAL<br />

VUILLEMAIN, in 1935, M. ANATOLE DE MONZIE met with<br />

GOEBBELS, in 1936, CHARLES MAURRAS accompanied MARSHAL<br />

PETAIN to a colloquium in Madrid. The INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER<br />

OF COMMERCE met in Berlin, in 1939. HEKKING met with HITLER<br />

accompanied by the latest Ecole Polytechnique promotion. FRANCO-<br />

GERMAN meetings in Zurich and Basle. Similar meetings in Brussels, in<br />

February <strong>of</strong> 1940.<br />

6.2 THE PHONY BATTLE OF FLANDERS (May 10 to May 16, 1940)<br />

For all intent and purposes, the French-German war <strong>of</strong> 1939-1940 was<br />

a total fake war. It was nothing else but a simulation. According to<br />

HUSSON, the synarchists had three reasons why this French-German war<br />

should not have been fought.<br />

1- The first reason was to avoid the "loss <strong>of</strong> lives." A quick defeat <strong>of</strong> the<br />

French Army would prevent the French Military Forces from fighting and<br />
