MC35i AT Command Set14. SIM Application Toolkit (SAT) Commands14. SIM Application Toolkit (SAT) CommandsThis chapter offers a brief reference of commands and responses related to the MC35i's SIM Application Toolkit(SAT) implementation. Detailed information is available with the document "Remote-SAT User Guide" [5]. Pleasecontact the Application Engineering Department at Cinterion Wireless Modules GmbH for details.ETSI specification GSM 11.14 [22] defines SAT in detail.SAT allows for the execution of applications provided by a Subsciber Identity Module (SIM). Usually SIM cardsare used for storing GSM network provider and user specific data, e.g. phonebook entries and Short Messages(SMS). However, a SIM card may also hold a SIM Application.Since the MC35i has SAT functionality it is able to execute the commands issued by applications implementedon a network provider specific SIM card. Two groups of commands are used between the ME and the SIM Application:• Proactive Commands are issued to the MC35i's SAT from the SIM Application, such as "DISPLAY TEXT".• Envelope Commands are responded to the SIM Application from the MC35i, such as "MENU SELECTION".14.1 AT^SSTA SAT Interface ActivationSyntaxTest CommandAT^SSTA=?Response(s)^SSTA:(list of supported s), (list of supported s)OKRead CommandAT^SSTA?Response(s)^SSTA: , , , OKWrite CommandAT^SSTA=[, ]Response(s)OKReference(s) PIN ASC0 MUX1 MUX2 MUX3 Last-- ! % % % % ! !Command DescriptionThe read command can be used to request the current operating status and the used alphabet of the Remote-SAT interface. The write command is used to activate the AT command interface of the SIM Application Toolkit in the MC35iand needs to be issued after every power on. However, removing and inserting the SIM does not affect the activationstatus.SAT commands which are not using the AT interface (non MMI related SAT commands , e.g. PROVIDE LOCALINFORMATION) could be executed without activating Remote-SAT.MC35i_ATC_V02.00nConfidential / ReleasedPage 298 of 3909/10/08
