Candidates areintroduced to essential knowledge, strategies, techniques andconnections across the disciplines as applied to young children.Focus is on an enriched and thought-provoking curriculum thatincorporates content across subject areas, specific educationalmethodology courses and preparation for professional work asmultiple subject teachers in elementary grades. All candidates mustdemonstrate subject-matter competency through a state-approvedexamination. All candidates must take the CBEST or other BasicSkills option prior to Admission and pass the examination beforestudent teaching.
