Applicantsfor the Certification as a Behavior Analyst will have to meetadditional requirements to qualify. All five ABA courses must betaken from <strong>National</strong> <strong>University</strong> in order to earn this certificate.Note: Upon successful completion of this five course sequence, the candidatewill receive a Certificate of Completion from <strong>National</strong> <strong>University</strong>. This isNOT professional certification by the Behavioral Analysis CertificationBoard, Inc. (BACB) and does NOT entitle the candidate to claim that theyare certified behavior analysis or Board Certified Behavior Analysts.Candidates must take the national certification exam and apply for theprofessional certificate.Candidates who are pursuing the Master of Arts in Teaching mayqualify for the Certificate in Behavioral Analysis provided that thecandidate requests the certificate prior to the completion of theirdegree program.Prior to qualifying to take the national Board Certified BehaviorAnalyst exam, candidates must complete 1500 hours of fieldwork,which is supervised by BACB member. <strong>National</strong> <strong>University</strong> does notprovide this supervision.Specialization Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of the program, candidates will be able to:• Read, understand and apply techniques and methods of appliedbehavior.• Present data and information from applied behavior analysisprocedures in graphic, textual, and oral formats.• Apply methods of behavior analysis in applied settings.• Articulate orally and in writing the principles of applied behavioranalysis as they relate to the basic laws of learning common tomulticultural environments.• Articulate orally and in writing the basic, overall practiceguidelines and code of ethics in the field of applied behavioranalysis.• Critically read the relevant research literature as well as useidiographic research methods to solve problems that are germaneto the field of applied behavior analysis.• Understand the importance of the use of multiple data sourcesand points of view in the design, implementation, and evaluation
