No Air Bubbles<br />

in Flow Cell<br />

Calibrate<br />

Air line crimped or<br />

disconnected<br />

Check the air line and repair as required.<br />

Air pump failure Replace if necessary.<br />

Contaminated standards,<br />

pipet or pipet tips<br />

Use new standard solutions. Replace the<br />

pipet tips.<br />

Standards interchanged Repeat calibration using standards in the<br />

correct sequence with the correct volume<br />

additions of each standard.<br />

Temperature probe failure Disconnect ATC. Temperature should read<br />

25 °C (E101). Replace if necessary.<br />

Background concentration<br />

too high for standards<br />

Repeat calibration using custom, higher<br />

concentration standards. Refer to Chapter IV.<br />

Pipet technique error Use the correct pipet techniques. Refer to the<br />

Appendix section.<br />

Flow cell contaminated Rinse the flow cell with deionized water.<br />

Flush the flow cell overnight at calibration<br />

liquid level. Refer to Chapter IV.<br />

Electronics failure or<br />

bad setup<br />

Reset the analyzer. Refer to Chapter VI.<br />

<strong>High</strong> Readings <strong>Analyzer</strong> out of calibration Recalibrate the analyzer. Refer to Chapter IV.<br />

Flow cell contaminated Rinse the flow cell with deionized water.<br />

Flush the flow cell overnight at calibration<br />

liquid level. Refer to Chapter IV.<br />

Inlet filter just replaced Flush the analyzer for one hour. Refer to<br />

Chapter IV. If an offline calibration was<br />

performed, verify accuracy of alternate<br />

method value. Refer to Chapter IV.<br />
