As such, the governmenthas gradually increased investmentin this sector which was Rs. 4,484million in 2006, on average annualexpenditure <strong>of</strong> Rs. 24, 176.5 millionduring 2007-<strong>2010</strong> to Rs. 23, 102million in <strong>2010</strong>. With this substantialinvestment, it is expected to achieve100 percent electricity coverage inthe country by 2012.
