In this paper, we show the strength of 128 bit secret key -64 bit block cipher KASUMI which is the standard cipher
algorithm in the third generation mobile phone system, against higher order differential attack. KASUMI is a variant of
MISTY1 which has provable security against linear and differential cryptanalysis. Our attack algorithm is a chosen plaintext
attack and uses higher order differential property. We found an effective choice of plaintexts for the attack by computer
simulations. When the effective chosen plaintexts are used, 5 round KASUMI (original has 8 round) can be attacked by 2(sup
22) chosen plaintexts and 2(sup 63) computational cost.
In the usual hiding applied to digital documents, secret messages are embedded in the layout information (e.g., the space
between lines or characters) because character codes have no redundancy. This paper describes a new method for hiding
information in plain text without using any layout information. It enables a secret message to be embedded as binary digits
that are related to the number of characters in each line of the cover text.
This paper considers the I-D wave advance model introduced an equivalent to the 2-D Roesser’s model. The wave
advance model provides a new vehicle for the study of the stability of 2-D digital recursive filters.
This paper describes the construction and performance analysis of N-D block state-space models. Based on
Givone-Roesser’s circuit approach, a novel approach of establishing N.D block state-space models is presented. It shown for
the proposed block state-space model that the dynamic range constraint in each tuple is invariant under extension. In addition,
the average roundoff noise variance due to the rounding errors in the i-th tuple is reduced by a factor equal to the block length
in this tuple.
