Design for the east wing’s facade facing east, presented by the
Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust in December 2013 as the
outcome of a five-year long debate.
The roofscape is restored to its presumed 18th century shape,
the ground floor facing bricks are replaced while on the first
and second floors the brickwork is simply repaired. The window
frames are repaired, and the openings closed by a wooden grill.
A plinth is added at the base of the wall.
