Medical Hydrology and Balneology: Environmental Aspects
Conclusions
The thermal behaviour of the mixtures of algae, seawater and clay depends
mainly on the content in water of the sample. The thermal conductivity and density
values increase with decreasing concentration of sea water while the specific heat
increases with increasing concentration of seawater. The results obtained indicate
that mixtures of algae, sea water and clay are suitable for thermotherapeutic applications
in thalassotherapy centers.
