Results<br />

Specific research approaches to these areas will be outlined to facilitate the most<br />

efficient use of limited research funding achieving the maximum impact upon<br />

human health through aquatics.<br />

Conclusions<br />

Given the probable long-term international limitations of research funding, it is<br />

critical to focus available funding toward those areas with the greatest potential for<br />

health benefit impact. This talk will hopefully facilitate discussion of the best ways<br />

to coordinate international research efforts.<br />
