WOMAC pain, <strong>and</strong> WOMAC stiffness subscales. PASS was 33% at the end of the<br />

treatment <strong>and</strong> 75% at 8th month.<br />

For drug consumption: at the end of the treatment, 39% of patient said they were<br />

not taking any drugs before <strong>and</strong> after the treatment, 11% said they were using more,<br />

30% said it was unchanged, 20% said it decreased.<br />

St<strong>and</strong>ardized response mean was higher <strong>and</strong> similar for WOMAC TOTAL<br />

(0.57), OSWESTRY (0.57) <strong>and</strong> RAPID3 (0.53). It was lower for EQ5D (0.28), EQ<br />

VAS (0.26), MHAQ (0.24).<br />

Harms There was no serious side effect. We observed some minor side effects: 5<br />

patients had asthenia, 5 had increase in low back pain, 5 had cutaneous reaction (2<br />

erythema), 1 had hypotension.<br />

Conclusions<br />

We observed a significant improvement versus baseline, in clinical status of patients<br />

with generalized osteoarthritis, after a spa treatment. WOMAC TOTAL,<br />

OSWESTRY <strong>and</strong> RAPID3 were the most sensitive outcome measures in generalized<br />

osteoarthritis.<br />
