Introduction
Installation
ORIS Press Matcher⁄⁄Web runs in demo mode if started without a valid
software license. If used in demo mode, the program is fully functional
for 30 days with the following limitations:
• Color tables created in demo mode cannot be used with a licensed
ORIS Press Matcher⁄⁄Web version.
• Watermarks are added arbitrarily.
• Optional features that require an additional license are unavailable.
After the 30-day period has expired, output is no longer possible.
Do the following if you want to produce color-matched output on tonerbased
PostScript printers from ORIS Press Matcher⁄⁄Web:
1. Connect the printer and measurement device to your computer.
2. Install the driver provided with the measurement device.
3. Install the manufacturer’s original PostScript printer driver.
PCL drivers are not suitable for ORIS Press Matcher⁄⁄Web, as they do
not provide color management with CMYK data.
4. Install the job control software, e.g. Fiery Command WorkStation.
5. Plug the ORIS Press Matcher⁄⁄Web dongle to your computer.
6. Install ORIS Press Matcher⁄⁄Web.
This will automatically install and create the following:
• Apache Web Service
• Java Runtime Engine
• Windows user named ‘ORIS-Service’
Starting ORIS Press Matcher⁄⁄Web
Select START | ALL PROGRAMS | CGS | ORIS PRESS MATCHER WEB or
click on the shortcut to this program created on the desktop. You can
only start one instance of this program.
