Internal Printer Calibration
Set the printer into a linear state using its internal calibration function.
Example: Fiery Command WorkStation 5
1. Load high-quality coated paper to make optimum use of the printer’s
color gamut. We recommend to use ORIS PearlDIGITAL 170 gsm.
Make sure to use the same paper type throughout the entire printer
setup and production process.
2. Log in to Command Workstation.
3. Select DEVICE CENTER | RESOURCES | PROFILES | OUTPUT PROFILES.
4. Double-click the profile FIERY XEROX DP700 … COATED 170 GSM.
5. Set the MEDIA TYPE, MEDIA and MEDIA WEIGHT options to the correct
values for coated paper with 170 gsm (see figure below). Usually this
setting is only required when you calibrate the printer for the first time.
6. Click OK, then select JOB CENTER | CALIBRATE.
7. Click on RESTORE DEVICE.
8. Select your measurement device and specify the following:
MEDIA WEIGHT: 151-176 GSM
MEDIA: COATED
