Evaluating Quality of Color Simulation
ERROR VECTORS
Small arrows indicating the amount of color deviation appear.
Error vectors begin at the Lab value to be matched (printing process)
and end at the Lab value that was measured (printer). The
longer the arrow, the larger the color deviation.
Error vectors may also indicate limitations of your measurement
device.

PROOF EDGES
All other options
Allows you to examine a section of the proof color
space. You can step through the color space to
view different sections using the sliders in the COL-
OR VALUE CORRECTION dialog (see Fig. 18-10).
Like the previous example, but
SHOW WEIGHTING
additionally enabled.
The degree of transparency indicates the impact of
fine tuning on the respective color. High degree =
little impact, low = great impact.

matched and point to the measured proof color.

The black lines indicate that the proof color space
is not large enough to simulate all of the print
colors, i.e. some colors are out of gamut.
