Recalibration Starting the Recalibration Wizard http://www.image2output.com Starting the Recalibration Wizard 1. Select the output queue (see page 11-1). 2. Click on or select FILE | SETTINGS. The SETTINGS dialog appears. 3. Select the CALIBRATION tab (see Fig. 19-1). 4. Click the RECALIBRATION button. // WEB« The wizard’s welcome screen appears (see Fig. 19-2). You will be guided step by step through the linearization and calibration process. In each wizard screen, click NEXT to proceed with the next step. Click the HELP button if you need more information. WEB« Recalibration Process http://www.image2output.com Step 1: Linearization Recalibration Recalibration Process The Recalibration Wizard will guide you through the following steps: 1. Select the measurement device connected to your computer. We recommend to use the same measurement device that was used when the printer was linearized and calibrated for the first time. 2. Print the linearization test chart. 3. Measure the printed test chart. You can measure density values or Lab values. The densitometric method is explained below. Lab values are measured if the LINEARIZATION option is set to CIE LAB BASED. Otherwise density values are measured. To set this option, select FILE | PREFERENCES and click on the GENERAL tab. 4. Optimize the linearization file, if required. The density measurements should not deviate from the target values by more than 0.02 units.
