No es la más ejemplar de las citas sobre Nueva York pero sí nos
puede dar una importante visión personal y real del propio autor en el
contexto de esa ciudad. En primer lugar, al mencionar algunas de las
arterias principales de la misma y, en segundo lugar, al citar uno de los más
famosos restaurantes de la zona. Está comprobado que en pleno proceso
creativo Capote tenía costumbre de salir a pasear por la noche por los
alrededores de su residencia, y también está probado su preferencia por el
buen comer y los buenos restaurantes. Así se puede verificar a través de
una entrevista concedida a Jerry Talímer en el año 1967 para el New York
I’osl en su WeekendMagazine
“Everybody snapped to Gallic attention, the
propietor, the waiters, the hatcheck girí, when the bantam
