Ficción i’Realidad en <strong>la</strong> obra <strong>de</strong> Truman Capote<br />

less blighted days; the parlor bulges with dusted fringe<br />

fiarniture, a family histor>’ in daguerreotype para<strong>de</strong>s across<br />

and oíd untuned piano, everywhere anti-macassars are like<br />

little crochetted f<strong>la</strong>gs <strong>de</strong>c<strong>la</strong>ring a state of Respectability, and<br />

En <strong>de</strong>finitiva, Brooklyn es un lugar solitario don<strong>de</strong> se van creando<br />

vecindarios <strong>de</strong> diferentes nacionalida<strong>de</strong>s y don<strong>de</strong> Capote vive con dos<br />

personas: Mrs. Q y su hija Mrs. Q. Capote <strong>la</strong>s presenta y le cuenta al lector<br />

su historia, como en todos los casos, un tanto peculiar. En uno <strong>de</strong> los<br />

momentos <strong>de</strong> esta historia Mrs Q se queja a Truman Capote <strong>de</strong> este<br />

ambiente multiracial que poco a poco se va adueñando <strong>de</strong>l barrio<br />
