110 OPHRYS INCUBACEA (LINDL.) BIANCA SINONIMI OPHRYS SPHEGODES (L.) MILL. SUBSP. ATRATA (RCHB. F.) A. BOLÒS NOME COMUNE FIOR RAGNO SCURO Descrizione Pianta alta 15-50 cm, con apparato ipogeo costituito da due rizotuberi sub-sferici e numerose ra<strong>di</strong>ci ingrossate. Scapo eretto, talora flessuoso; foglie basali riunite in rosetta, oblungo-lanceolate, <strong>di</strong> colore verdegrigiastro; foglie cauline erette, lanceolate e guainanti il fusto. Infiorescenza lassa, composta <strong>di</strong> 3-15 fiori, <strong>di</strong>stanziati e decoloriati con il procedere dell’antesi. Brattee lanceolate, concave, le inferiori molto più lunghe dell’ovario. Fiori <strong>di</strong> <strong>di</strong>mensione assai variabile. Sepali ovato-lanceolati, generalmente ver<strong>di</strong>, talora sfumati <strong>di</strong> giallo o <strong>di</strong> bruno, i laterali opposti, il me<strong>di</strong>ano eretto o piegato sul ginostemio. Petali lunghi 1/2 o 2/3 dei sepali, concolori o poco più scuri <strong>di</strong> essi, con margine ondulato e apice troncato o ottuso; labello allungato, intero o quasi, convesso, vellutato, da bruno a bruno-violaceo, margine con peli lunghi e rossastri, gibbosità basali molto pronunciate, glabre e lucide sul lato interno; appen<strong>di</strong>ce apicale assente o ridotta; macula variabile, a forma <strong>di</strong> H molto allungata, grigio-bluastra; apice <strong>della</strong> colonna corto e acuto. Habitat Incolti, prati, garighe, arbusteti e boschi aperti, tra 400 e 700 m. Periodo <strong>di</strong> fioritura Marzo-maggio. Distribuzione Stenome<strong>di</strong>terranea. La sua presenza è segnalata in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto e regioni dell’Italia peninsulare e insulare. Note tassonomiche La colorazione dei fiori è piuttosto variabile e, spesso confusa con Ophrys sphegodes <strong>di</strong> cui, secondo alcuni, rappresenterebbe una semplice sottospecie. L’epiteto specifico sembra derivare dal latino “incubus” a causa del colore scuro del labello. Note <strong>di</strong>stributive Insieme a Ophrys argolica subsp. crabronifera, O. bombyliflora, O. passionis e O. tentre<strong>di</strong>nifera, è una <strong>delle</strong> specie più rare in provincia <strong>di</strong> <strong>Siena</strong>. Complessivamente, infatti, sono note soltanto 3 segnalazioni. La prima è un dato bibliografico relativo al Monte Amiata (Contorni, 1992) (QN24,) per il quale è comunque considerata pianta rara e presente negli ambienti aperti a circa 700 m <strong>di</strong> quota; la seconda è per San Piero in Campo (QN26), mentre l’ultima è relativa ad una popolazione situata presso Tregole (Castellina in Chianti, PP81), dalla quale sono stati prelevati alcuni in<strong>di</strong>vidui per una coltivazione ex-situ all’interno dell’Orto Botanico dell’Università degli Stu<strong>di</strong> <strong>di</strong> <strong>Siena</strong>, ove sono collezionate numerose specie <strong>di</strong> Orchidaceae spontanee <strong>della</strong> Toscana Meri<strong>di</strong>onale.
