Bearing D<strong>at</strong>a<br />

Roller bearings can be applied universally as ready-to-mount machine elements. This is especially due to the fact th<strong>at</strong><br />

the main dimensions of the popular bearings are standardized. ISO 15 applies to radial bearings (with the exception<br />

of tapered roller bearings), ISO 355 to metric tapered roller bearings and ISO 104 to thrust bearings. The dimensional<br />

plans of the ISO standards have been taken over in DIN 616 and DIN ISO 355 (metric tapered roller bearings).<br />

In the dimensional plans of DIN 616, each bearing bore has several outside diameters and widths. Popular diameter<br />

series are 8, 9, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 (increasing outside diameters in this order). There are several width series in each diameter<br />

series, e.g. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 (the higher the figure the gre<strong>at</strong>er the width).<br />

The first figure of the two-digit number for the dimension series indic<strong>at</strong>es the width series (the height series for thrust<br />

bearings) and the second figure the diameter series.<br />

The rel<strong>at</strong>ions of dimensions are shown in the figures of the by KRW manufacted series od deep groove ball bearings,<br />

cylindrical roller bearings and spherical roller bearings, rel<strong>at</strong>ed to the same bearing bore diameter.<br />
