saïghaü namassāma suvatthi hotu.
Ended the old, there is no new taking birth.
Dispassioned their minds toward further becoming,
They, with no seed, no desire for growth,
The wise, they go out like this flame.
This, too, is an exquisite treasure in the Saïgha.
By this truth may there be well-being.
Whatever (non-human) beings are assembled here,
terrestrial or celestial,
come let us salute the Buddha, the Tathāgata (the perfect One), honored by
gods and men. May there be happiness.

Be capable, upright, & straightforward,
Easy to instruct, gentle, & not conceited,
