Tiññhañ caraü nisinno vā<br />
sayāno vā yāva tassa vigata-middho,<br />
Etaü satiü adhiññheyya<br />
brahmam etaü vihāraü idham āhu.<br />
Diññhiñ ca anupagamma<br />
sīlavā dassanena sampanno,<br />
Kāmesu vineyya gedhaü<br />
na hi jātu gabbha-seyyaü punar etī ti.<br />
Whether standing, walking, sitting, or lying down,<br />
as long as one is alert,<br />
One should be resolved on this mindfulness.<br />
This is called a sublime abiding here & now.<br />
Not taken with views,<br />
but virtuous & consummate in vision,<br />
Having subdued desire for sensual pleasures,<br />
One never again will lie in the womb.<br />

four-footed beings, & many-footed beings do me no harm.<br />
May all creatures, all breathing things, all beings − each & every one −<br />
meet with good fortune. May none of them come to any evil.<br />
