Group data history
In the master files object "Group Data History" data relating to an
affiliated company and changing over time can be recorded, e.g. spot
exchange rates or average rates for the conversion into another reporting
currency. In the allocation "affiliated companies" to "consolidation groups"
the data history can be used so that the conversion of different currencies
is possible between the affiliated companies and the consolidation group.
Group mapping
In the individual companies or in the consolidation client the account
ranges do not have to be identically numbered. This mapping between
the different numberings is carried out via the "Group Mapping". In the
single client a consolidation account number is thus assigned to the
accounts the account numbers of which differ from the consolidation
client. A group mapping can be allocated to a consolidation group.
When data is transferred to the consolidation client, the account numbers
are converted according to the group mapping.
Different charts of accounts can be used in the affiliated companies.
3.14.3. Group-internal and group-external processes
On the basis of the time defined customer and vendor relations, it is
possible to make the statement for all customers and vendors, whether
they are part of such a relation or not. Exactly this information controls if
a process should be categorized as a group-internal or a group-external
process. In sales invoices this decision can be made via the invoice
customer and the entry date.
