Lot tracking
In order to evaluate stock journal entries involving lots there is the new
infosystem "Lot tracking". The infosystem displays issues and receipts from
a specific start-up lot by
means of a tree view.
The structure of the tree
can be influenced by
different input fields, such
as "Display depth", "Start
up lot", "From document
date", "Direction" and
"View with entries".
3.7. Scheduling
The task of the scheduling is to ensure that sufficient material and
production capacities are always available to carry out sales orders with
strict adherence to deadlines.
Scheduling generates procurement suggestions
for purchasing and production and
plans the utilization of the machine
capacities. It also checks the compliance with
fixed delivery dates and, if any variance is
found, calculates the earliest possible delivery
dates. The scheduling module, along with the
warehouse management module, is therefore
the linchpin of a company.
The scheduling calculation considers
customer order items, internal warehouse
orders, current purchase orders as well as
stock levels. Also considered are settings in
the master files, for example the minimum
stock levels, the procurement lead times,
batch sizes, batch grouping periods, lead
times for internally produced parts and the
scheduling processes.
