7.1 Random Module Arrangement
The arrangement of the I/O-modules within a XI/ON station can
basically be chosen at will.
Nevertheless, it can be useful with some applications to group
certain modules together.
Note
The mixed usage of base modules with screw connections and base
modules with tension clamp connections requires a further power
supply module to be mounted. Thereby, it must be ensured that the
base modules are fitted with the same connection technology
(screw or tension clamp) as the power supply module.
7.1.1 Complete Planning
The planning of a XI/ON station should be thorough to avoid faults
and increase operating reliability.
Attention
If there are more than two empty slots next to one another, the communication
is interrupted to all following XI/ON modules.
